Danielle Andrews from Southend-on-Sea feared that her lack of work experience would leave her permanently struggling to find a job after graduating from university. Yet with Ingeus’s support, Danielle is now 19-months into a fulfilling admin role at Southend care company, Home Instead Senior Care.
Despite graduating with a creative writing and history degree, Danielle was unemployed for 18 months before being referred to Ingeus:
“It was then that I really started to get somewhere,” credits Danielle. “My Ingeus advisor was very proactive, helping me to prepare for interviews and recommending me for relevant vacancies. When I went along to Home Instead I really liked the people and the sound of the position, I was delighted when I was appointed.”
Home Instead Senior Care has recruited six Ingeus clients to date, all of whom are rapidly progressing in their respective roles.
In addition to the day-to-day running of the office, Danielle’s responsibilities have grown to include invoicing and scheduling the company’s carers to visit clients.
She continues: “It’s a very busy and responsible job, but I love knowing that what I do is ultimately helping our often elderly and vulnerable clients.
“I haven’t given up on my dream of writing a book and having a job is giving me the confidence and stability to start thinking about that. It was so demotivating being unemployed, but thankfully Ingeus was there to help.”
Danielle’s manager couldn’t be happier with his Ingeus team and said: “Ingeus understands our requirements gives us access to outstanding people, like Danielle, who have the potential for long and successful careers with us.”
