"The process with Restart Scheme has been brilliant, it has been an epic experience which I have loved. I am amazed at how well and went this all went and I am really enjoying my job."
Becky - Restart Scheme
"I was given maximum support and I believe I needed it because I was at a low stage in life. When you get to a certain age you think you’re going to be written off and you don’t really go in with high expectations. To have someone there to help and guide you and give you encouragement that you can put yourself out there – that was a real boost."
Swaine - Restart Scheme
"My key worker Sonya has been so fantastic, she has provided practical advice and improved my self-confidence; she believed in me. I have had to overcome some personal challenges in my life but now ... I’m much better at communicating with people. I no longer feel overwhelmed."
Isla - Work and Health Programme
"Able Futures has allowed me to become better, it is fantastic. My VRC Peter has given me different ways to cope with my grief and different strategies to allow me to function, stay at work and not go off sick."
David - Able Futures participant
“The one-to-one sessions were hard but very helpful – they forced me back into myself. With so many veterans in prison this service is desperately needed, and I was fortunate to be able to use it. I’m still able to go to the Darlington CFO Community Activity Hub, and when I have my down days I talk to Graham and we can both relate to each other.”
Keith - CFO
