Ingeus joined health professionals, clinical leaders, researchers and partners at the Royal College of Paramedics Inaugural Mental Health Conference, sharing learning and exploring how collaboration can strengthen mental health and wellbeing support.
Held at Manor By The Lake, Cheltenham, the conference brought together professionals from across health and wellbeing to consider mental health through different perspectives. From the experiences of patients and the psychological wellbeing of paramedics to education, clinical practice and emerging research.
Our team joined conversations focused on the challenges facing frontline healthcare professionals and the opportunities to improve mental health support across the sector.
The wider programme included discussions around patient mental health care, paramedic psychological wellbeing, approaches to mental health education and emerging research and innovation. An inspiring keynote address from Simon Weston CBE explored his experiences of adversity, recovery and personal growth following life-changing injuries during the Falklands War.
The inaugural conference provided a valuable space to make those connections and contribute to a wider conversation about the future of mental health and wellbeing within healthcare. By sharing research, lived experience and emerging practice, events such as this provide opportunities to challenge thinking and strengthen approaches to supporting both individuals and workforces.
