Ingeus recently ran open days in Blackburn, Preston and Liverpool for unemployed people looking to improve their employability, boost their skills and get support from the Job Entry Targeted Support (JETS) scheme to get back into work.

A fantastic mixture of training providers, local partners and employers attended the events, engaging over 200 of our participants from across the region, supporting them to develop and move closer to employement. Over 20 staff volunteered on the day.

The local JETS teams, together with our specialist partners including local organisations and charities, were on hand to give 1-1 guidance and support on topics including:

There were several confirmed on the spot job starts and over 30 job interviews were offered to participants from a range of Employers including Euro Garages, R2R, Addeco and Runshaw College.

We received the following feedback on JETS and the Liverpool event from one of the JETS participants: "Just wanted to say a big thanks for pointing me in the direction of the JETS scheme, it was so useful. Following on from this, I will offered executive coaching by Jessica Gray who invited me to the social inclusion day at the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool. The support I received was amazing - we updated my CV and LinkedIn account and arranged for a further Teams meeting on Wednesday. I couldnt have asked for more. I think this should be widely promoted as the support received was amazing. Thanks again."

Kirsty and Charlotte from Runshaw college attended the event in Preston and commented: "Thank you for letting Runshaw Apprenticeships b a part of this, it was a huge success! We had a great day, and met some lovely people and have found some potential applicants for our apprenticeships."
