Confident Futures – Central and West London
Build confidence. Recognise your strengths. Take your next step.
Confident Futures is a free, voluntary programme offering personalised health, skills and employment support for people on a Universal Credit Health journey. With encouragement from a dedicated Advisor, you can build confidence, improve stability and move towards learning, volunteering, further support or work at a pace that feels right for you.
Is Confident Futures right for you?
Confident Futures could be right for you if you are on a Universal Credit Health journey, have received a Work Capability Assessment decision and have been placed in the Limited Capability for Work and Work-Related Activity group. You may not feel ready for work or training yet, but with the right support you would like to build confidence and make progress towards your future.
Taking part is your choice. Your support will reflect your health condition, disability and wider circumstances, with goals agreed around what matters to you.
How we can support you
- Build confidence, self-belief and motivation.
- Understand your strengths, skills, goals and support needs.
- Create a personalised plan with manageable next steps.
- Get support with wellbeing, routines, fatigue, sleep, pain or lifestyle changes where appropriate.
- Explore help with housing, money, caring responsibilities, independence or community connections.
- Move closer to work, learning, volunteering or further employment support when you feel ready.
- Connect with specialist partners and local services where helpful.
Support shaped around you
Your journey will begin with a friendly conversation to understand your needs, hopes and circumstances. Together, you and your adviser will agree a support plan. This may include one-to-one coaching, confidence and resilience activities, goal setting, health and wellbeing support, careers guidance, skills development and introductions to other useful services.
