Fast-track your way back to work

TrailBlazer: Richmond and Wandsworth was set up to support people that had recently become unemployed and were not claiming work-related benefits. It was created to help people take the next step towards employment quickly and confidently.

Commissioned by the South London Partnership, TrailBlazer: Richmond and Wandsworth was available to residents aged 18 and over living in the London boroughs of Wandsworth and Richmond‑Upon‑Thames. From the very first day of unemployment, participants were able to access tailored support designed to help them return to work.

Through TrailBlazer, participants benefited from:

  • One-to-one guidance from employment professionals.
  • Support to improve communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Help with job searching and applications.
  • Opportunities to gain key skills for the workplace.

Whether participants were looking to re‑enter their previous field or explore a new career path, TrailBlazer supported them in finding the right job at the right time.

Specialist support was also available to people who included one or more of the following circumstances: had a disability, were ex‑offenders, carers or ex‑carers, people experiencing homelessness, veterans or veterans’ partners, individuals with drug or alcohol dependency, care leavers, refugees, Afghan resettlers, or young people at risk of involvement in gangs or serious crime.
