Positive Pathways: Make a Referral


Refer a young person to Positive Pathways.

Please complete the form below to refer a young person to the Positive Pathways programme. To be eligible, a young person must:

  • Be 15-17 years old.
  • Live in the East or West Midlands.
  • Be willing to take part in a research study which includes undertaking a survey at the start and end of the programme.
  • Provide consent to take part (as well as a guardian, carer or parent consenting).

And meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Be experiencing high levels of detention, suspension or exclusion.
  • Have been identified as possibly associating with individuals involved in criminality.
  • Have been arrested or convicted of a criminal offence (some exclusions apply to this).

Please ensure you read the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which contains full inclusion/exclusion criteria and a detailed description of what is involved in signing up to the trial for all parties.

Once you've submitted the form, a member of the Positive Pathways team will contact you to discuss your referral.

For young people in the control group, referring organisations will be provided with funding to deliver a small enrichment activity (the 'enhanced BAU'), to the value of £50 per young person (either via a bank transfer or a digital gift card). Please indicate your preference:
Please note should your organisation choose to receive enhanced BAU funding via a bank transfer you will need to fill out an additional form before young people can be accepted onto the programme. This form would be sent out to you separately by Ingeus in due course.
