Providing great care
30 Mar. 2026
Paradise Home Care offers independence, dignity, and improved quality of life to London residents with wellbeing needs.
That offer also extends well beyond their client list. By partnering with the Restart Scheme – delivered by Ingeus across Central and West London – they’re offering life-enhancing opportunities for new recruits too.
In less than a year, the home care company has worked with Ingeus’ Tower Hamlets Restart centre to help more than 30 participants take a step closer to work. With 15 of them already employed as domiciliary carers and a further 18 currently being recruited, it’s hoped the partnership will expand further to encompass admin, health, and social care roles. Paradise Care share their requirements with Ingeus, offer trial shifts and guaranteed interviews, and attend Restart Scheme events to promote their vacancies. With full role training given, it’s personalities that speak volumes according to Mohammad Aktaruzzaman from Paradise Home Care:
“Helping people who often have limited social interaction to live comfortably at home requires caregivers with compassion, patience, and above all a friendly smile.
“Many Restart Scheme participants have transferable skills they bring from other work sectors or life at home themselves. They’re reliable, resourceful, and resilient and understand at first hand that people sometimes just need a helping hand in life. We provide full training for any other job-specific skills required.
“We genuinely care about making a meaningful difference to the lives of others, and that extends to our staff too.”
That ethos has supported Ripin, a 44 year-old mum of four from Tower Hamlets into her first paid job.
Joining the Restart Scheme with no work experience and limited English, Ripin says finding a job felt intimidating until her advisor Muhammed got to work with her.
Muhammed enrolled Ripin in weekly language classes and set up an online learning platform to strengthen her spoken English. She undertook digital skills training, gained a Level 2 Food Hygiene Safety accreditation, and attended a two-day Ingeus Skills to Employment workshop. Mohammed also helped Ripin create a CV and practice interview questions before recommending her for a Paradise Care role.
“My confidence was very low at the start of the Restart Scheme,” says Ripin, “but Mohammed was very helpful. The flexible approach suited my responsibilities and helped me make progress.
“The Paradise Care role suits me, offering local work, structured training, and fixed hours I can do around my ongoing language training. I feel proud to have started work and enjoy providing personal help to people.”
Khas Miah, Ingeus Business Lead for the Restart Scheme in Central and West London manages the relationship with Paradise Care and adds:
“The need for quality care workers is growing and Paradise Care takes a direct and responsible approach to finding good team members. They are open minded enough to invest time and training into Restart Scheme participants who are working hard with Ingeus to increase their employability – people just like Ripin. They look at our participants’ potential, not their pasts, and really strive to improve people’s quality of life – not just with their care services but with employment opportunities.”
