Supporting employers in the North East to recruit diverse, high performing teams through InclusionWorks

We are proud to announce the launch of InclusionWorks, a new trailblazer project designed to help employers across the North East build more inclusive, high-performing workplaces. Delivered by Ingeus, our expert team provide tailored training and guidance to support organisations in recruiting and retaining diverse talent. 

With economic inactivity rates in the North East among the highest in the UK, InclusionWorks, commissioned by the North East Combined Authority, is a targeted response to help employers tap into overlooked talent and drive regional growth. It addresses a challenge facing this areaby seeking to improve support for economically inactive individuals by enhancing collaboration between local services, testing innovative approaches to engagement, and laying the foundation for long-term system reform that better integrates work, health, and skills support.   

The initiative is available at no cost to businesses of all sizes operating within County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside, and Sunderland. The programme is open to employers across a wide range of sectors, from construction and care to education, hospitality, manufacturing, and the creative industries. Through a combination of workshops and one-to-one support, employers will gain a practical toolkit that improves their recruitment and retention practices.
